James Garrett is the Manager of Asset Protection (Programs) for Dollar Tree, overseeing physical security for all US and Canadian retail locations. He previously served 19 years with the Chesapeake Police Department, most recently as the 911 Center Coordinator and SWAT Commander. Before that, he spent 7 years in the US Army as a MLRS Crewmember and UH-60 Crew Chief, serving in the US, Korea, Germany, and Iraq. He holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice with a focus on Critical Incident Management and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University.
Casey Jarman has extensive experience in Loss Prevention leadership, having held key roles with several Fortune 200 companies. In his current position, he provides strategic leadership in the physical security space for Nike retail stores globally. With a strong background in field operations, Casey is passionate about driving value through technology solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness for end users.
James Selman is the Sr. Director, Asset Protection/Risk/Operational Compliance for Bar Louie. James came to the brand in August of 2021 after a 30 year career in retail asset protection and risk. James brings to the brand considerable asset protection and risk leadership. Under his leadership, James and team has built a foundation of culture, proactive process, protocol, accountability, and a deterrent-based approach for the hospitality space.
Melissa Diaz is the Director of Asset Protection Operations for Gap Inc. She currently leads AP Technology & Innovation programs and solutions and oversees AP Vendor Management, including Service & Maintenance and the Security Guard Program. She and her team support the Enterprise Asset Protection department which includes the Field, Global Supply Chain, Security, Investigations, and Digital teams. She has been with Gap Inc. for 24 years, starting her career in store leadership before transitioning into Field AP, then leading AP Operations for Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, Janie & Jack, and Intermix.
Brandon Nicholson serves as the Safety and Security Manager for The Spinx Company. With approximately four years of experience in Risk Management, he specializes in risk and liability mitigation. Prior to his current role, Brandon worked in Asset Protection, Safety, and Operations for major retailers such as Target and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
Michael Haley is the Chief Information Officer and Executive Partner at Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, overseeing the Information Technology department at the corporate office. Throughout his 19+ years with Lettuce, Michael has been focused on removing obstacles and streamlining the IT footprint throughout the organization for products and services that support all employees, restaurants, and the corporate office. Prior to joining Lettuce, Michael worked in several different industries in the Engineering and IT fields, including the automotive industry, healthcare, insurance, and liquor.
David Pennant-Jones is the Chief Technical Officer of Paradigm Investment Group, LLC, where he has worked for 18 years. The company owns and operates 80 Hardee’s locations across Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi. Additionally, it manages a handful of Jersey Mike’s and Blaze Pizza restaurants.

Currently serving as Strategy & Infrastructure Manager at Lululemon, Melissa leads enterprise-wide security frameworks, compliance initiatives, and infrastructure optimization to protect assets while fostering a culture of awareness and accountability. Robert “Bob” Oberosler is a seasoned loss prevention executive with over 30 years of experience. He has held leadership roles at Robinsons May Department Stores, Lowe’s, Pathmark Stores, and Rite Aid. In 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice President of Loss Prevention at Dollar Tree, focusing on reducing inventory shrink. He retired in 2023 after a distinguished 47-year career in the industry and now supports Solink as a Loss Prevention Consultant.
