This month’s updates are all about giving businesses more control over their video—how it’s captured, stored, accessed, and acted on:

  • Vision Analytics surfaces insights from both foot and vehicle traffic.
  • Cloud Archive makes long-term evidence storage more affordable and accessible.
  • Get Video Link API puts the right clip into the right hands, instantly.
  • Alarm snoozing adds flexibility to VerifEye without disrupting monitoring schedules.
Let’s jump in.

Vision Analytics: Video intelligence from counter to curb

Security cameras are no longer passive recorders. They’re sensors—capturing customer behavior, service patterns, and movement inside and outside the business.

Vision Analytics transforms that footage into searchable, measurable performance data using two key capabilities: People Analytics and the new Vehicle Analytics BETA.

From dwell time at the counter to congestion in the drive-thru, users can track real movement over time without new hardware. Just draw a line or create a zone, and the system does the rest—capturing foot and vehicle traffic in context.
Two surveillance camera views show tracked objects: a person in a clothing store and a car in a shop, with "Vision Analytics" text below and a security camera in the center.
It’s visibility that spans the full customer journey—from entrance to exit, counter to curb.

Cloud Storage: Store longer for less in archival

Solink now offers an archival definition (AD) stream that allows customers to back up camera footage to the cloud at a much lower cost than traditional SD and HD storage.

Video can be stored for days or years as a backup to local retention—and retrieved in seconds, not hours. Think of it as an affordable insurance policy that runs in the background, providing extra peace-of-mind.

Most businesses are used to slow archive retrieval. That might be fine during a routine audit, but when footage is needed in the middle of an emergency or legal dispute, waiting isn’t an option.

Solink’s Cloud Archive delivers instant access to old footage—without relying on IT or support tickets. Pick any camera, define the retention period all within Solink.
A dropdown menu selects 1,095 days, overlaid on an image of three warehouse workers moving boxes and walking through aisles of stored goods.
Perfect for:

  • Insurance claims and court cases where video may be needed years later
  • Disaster recovery when recording devices are damaged or stolen
  • Retaining footage during renovations or location transitions

Solink API: Pull the right clip, right away

Finding the right video shouldn’t mean digging through filters or tabs. The new Get Video Link API lets third-party tools request timestamped Solink footage with a single call.

That means case management systems, BI dashboards, or WMS tools can generate a secure playback URL directly—no scrubbing, no guesswork.
A dashboard showing incident details next to a blurred worker inspecting a package at Station 2, with video playback and timestamp visible.
Use it to:

  • Embed instant video playback in incident logs or tickets
  • Link directly to a refund, void, and other anomaly
  • Streamline reviews across platforms—without duplicating storage

Video Alarms: Temporarily snooze alarms

As mentioned in our July 2025 product update, false alarms slow everything down. To reduce alert fatigue, SOC operators inside the VerifEye console can now snooze an active alarm and selectively pause monitoring for 15, 30, or 60 minutes—or until the next scheduled arming.
A user interface displays two camera feeds labeled “360 cam” and “POS,” each with a “30 minutes” button, and options to cancel or confirm at the bottom.
They can also see how many cameras are currently snoozed and quickly clear them all or change their state in bulk—without digging through schedules or settings.

That’s a Wrap

This month’s updates gave Solink users more ways to control how video fits into their business—tracking more activity, storing footage longer, sharing it faster, and reducing distractions.

Whether it’s responding to an emergency, investigating a claim, or improving service, Solink makes sure the right footage is always available, in the moment it’s needed.
