Solink’s Playbook

Visual proof for specified events

Learn how Solink’s event-based reporting helps track what matters—providing instant visual context and turning footage into actionable insights.

The play call: Combining events with visuals

Event-based reports focus only on the moments that matter. Solink allows for the automatic creation of reports when a specific rule, event or alert is triggered, like a door opening after hours, a cash drawer being opened with no sale, or movement in a restricted area. These are the events, set by you, that trigger a captured visual.

With Solink, you get a concise, searchable list of key events, each with video context. It’s faster, smarter, and way more actionable and it turns your cameras into business intelligence lenses.

How the play is executed

01

Creating a new report/widget to track in Solink

Start by opening your Solink dashboard. Choose “create report” or add a new widget to a dashboard. Give it a clear name based on what you want to track, like “after-hours access” or “no-sale drawer opens.” This sets the foundation for filtering events you want to capture.
02

Picking your events/tracking data in Solink

This is where you define what matters. You’re choosing the specific actions or behaviors you want to monitor, like door openings after hours, discounts over 90%, customer conversion rates etc. These events become the triggers for your report.
03

Viewing the events and exporting the data

Easily view these events in real-time and within your dashboard by clicking in on them. Plus, you can also export the data within a CSV to share and explore on your desktop.

The result: Visuals and data all in one place as
event-based reports

Once this play is in motion, you stop guessing and start seeing exactly what matters. You can view every single event as it is flagged and captured on camera, alongside the data from it. Solink brings your event- based data and video together in one place so you can put your insights to work, not just collect them.
