We’ve made improvements to the Video player timeline experience and given the Events page a refresh.
Welcome to this month’s roundup of the updates and enhancements for the Solink platform. Let’s take a look at what’s new!
📌 Pin an event to the player’s timeline
The player’s timeline can get crowded when you have multiple transactions happening at the same time. Now you can maintain the context of your investigation when watching event video thanks to the addition of pinned events.
Pin an event by clicking on it in the timeline or look for the pin icon in the receipt overlay. With an event pinned, the receipt details stay visible as other events continue to pass along on the timeline.
🖱️ Cursor and thumbnail preview on the player’s timeline
We received user feedback that scrubbing the timeline was a hit-or-miss experience that sometimes involveded multiple attempts before the right moment of video was found. Based on this feedback, we added a thumbnail preview when hovering your cursor over the timeline (see the above gif). We also enhanced the cursor to show you the exact time you will be selecting to give finer control on the timeline.
Pro Tip: Click the PREVIEW button in the right-side controls to remove the thumbnail preview if it’s covering up too much of your screen.
🗄️ Updated the location of saved reports on the Events page
Being able to save your searches as reports that can be sent as part of your daily digest emails, used to trigger real-time alerts, or added to the Dashboard as widgets, is one of Solink’s most loved features. To help you find your saved reports more easily, we created a slide out drawer that displays all of your reports in one easy to read list.
⌚ Support for 12 and 24 hour time formats
Whether you eat dinner at 6:00 PM or 18:00, Solink now supports both 12 and 24 hour time formats across the apps. Check under the Preferences tab on the Settings page to adjust how times are displayed. (The times displayed on your receipts will remain in the format that we received them in.)
💻 Added support for Microsoft’s new Edge browser
Microsoft debuted a brand new version of their popular Edge browser recently. This new browser is based on the open-source Chromium project just like Google’s Chrome browser and works great with the Solink application. Look for the new logo to see if your version has been updated.
