Bullet camera

Bullet cameras are some of the most common security cameras in use today and get their name from their bullet-like shape.

What are BULLET cameras?

Bullet cameras are some of the most common business security cameras in use today. They are small and get their name from their shape.

Their small size and easy installation make them particularly versatile, which is why you can find them indoors and outdoors. They are usually less noticeable than larger security cameras (e.g., turret cameras). However, their shape makes them less robust to vandalism than dome cameras.

Some bullet cameras have varifocal lenses, allowing one to adjust the field of view of the camera without losing picture quality. However, you will need to make any adjustment on the camera manually.

We have a separate article that discusses everything you need to know about business security camera systems, including bullet cameras.

Why are BULLET cameras important?

Bullet cameras, along with dome cameras, are one of the most common security camera styles on the market. They can be placed nearly anywhere as they are able to work in warm and cold climates and are very reliable.

Bullet cameras can also be equipped with optical and/or digital zoom features, making them useful for facial recognition as well as license plate recognition. If you go out in public today, you will almost certainly see bullet cameras on public and private buildings. However, since they are small and easily concealed, you might miss them if you aren’t looking carefully.

Solink is compatible with most bullet cameras on the market today. Here’s a comprehensive list of the security cameras compatible with Solink’s platform.
